That’s right, the Wii 2 is officially called the Wii U, after Nintendo unveiling Nintendos upcoming new console, some might say the shock was about to be shown, Nintendo announced their new Console with what at first glimpse looked like a handheld portable Wii. However as it was constantly called a “A Controller with a 6.2 inch screen” Nintendo throughout their press conference at E3 Said very little on the New Wii U Console it’s self, Whether if the controller with the screen comes together with the Wii Console or separately is not clearly known, it is clear to see that the Wii Controller has taken on the gimmick of being called the Wii U, from the trailers, it is seen as the solution of when the TV is no longer available to you, that with the controller, you can continue you’re gaming without a TV Screen, seeming of course that you need the console to be able to carry on playing the games to it or from it.  The Pictures we have here of the Wii Controller with the screen and the New Console From the Official Wii Facebook Page show that the Console has the same similarity style of the old Wii, but as seen in notable trailers, this one seems to be laying on its front like the PS3 and Xbox 360 does, unlike the Wii Which was mainly a stand up console.  From the coverage at E3 and the word spoken around the Nintendo U is supposedly to be more powerful, whether that mean’s it can output more graphical Visuals than the PS3 and 360 is not 100%  Known, IBM will be providing the usual hardware chip as they did in the Wii. However some fans have stressed concern for Nintendo, stating that “History is repeating it’s self particularly for Nintendo, From what i knew and saw Nintendo didn’t do so well for the Game cube, and it feels they are not really pushing forward but rolling back, this reminds me of the Dreamcast, it was a great console, boasted better quality of games and higher visual power, but unfortunately sank in the ocean over a small period of time, causing the bankrupcy of Sega”

While many would agree, most would say to wait on and see what else is to be unraveled on the upcoming console, from one of the trailers which shows a person sketching Zelda on the Controller Screen show’s a LCD/Plasma TV showing a highly graphical video game footage of Zelda fighting some form of Enemy Monster in the game. However this doesn’t strongly indicate on whether this is a upcoming title or the actual demo of what the console is capable of doing.  From what we Know is that it will be Backward Compatible with Wii games, making them available in HD. That the Console will output 1080P Quality and that the Disc’s will be 25 Gigabytes big.

There are some specs of the console floating around the internet but whether these are 100% correct is unsure, however we do know that more details are yet to be announced.

As we learn even deeper from information on the details released on the attack on the Playstation Network,  it is right to say that everyone worldwide who holds a Playstation Network account for their PS3 has had their information from it taken.

So how do you know if you are one of the first victims of your personal information being taken. First Check out this Bullet line from Sony on what’s been taken.

  • Name
  • Address (city, state/province, zip or postal code)
  • Country
  • E-mail address
  • Date of birth
  • PlayStation Network/Qriocity passwords and login
  • Handle/PSN online ID

Sony have not ruled out the possibility of Credit Cards and Debit cards that people has assigned to their Playstation accounts to purchase content from the Playstation Store. Only way to know for sure if there are any reports of fraud from any 70 million Users that will or have been affected. It is essential to change any security questions and passwords that maybe assigned to your Playstation Network.

For example, if you use the same password or have used it for some other login services and it’s the same as your Playstation Network Password it doesn’t stop anyone who may have your details from trying to take even more information relating to you and the account. Secondly, check your banks!

It’s not something that easy to say but if you’re noticing you have something taken out in your name, money is disappearing then you’d need to either cancel or take further action to investigate what the cause is.

There is no telling what the Attacker plans to do with all information that has been taken from every Playstation network account.  If the attacker decides to spread out the information or has a group who plan to sell or use the information for money there is no way of telling neither stopping it till it does happen.

This is a serious hole leak for Sony, not only has it prevented 70 million users worldwide from not being able to access the Playstation Network and other services connected to it, but to every Playstation User who has personal information and payment method details registered to their account puts everyone at risk.

However once the PSN Store is back up online in the back of everyone elses mind is the worry of having any further attacks on the personal information that has been taken. For now Sony have stated that they are ”Working day and night to resolve the issue and building the new system from scratch”

Sony would like to state to Ignore any Emails that state to be from Sony requesting any personal information, or any links, any phone calls stating to be Sony and offering you deals, services or anything related. Sony state they never contact Users and customers. Plus any letters sent are to be treated the same.

Today Patrick Seybold// Sr. Director, Corporate Communications & Social Media has released an update on the official Playstation blog updating Playstation users on the current situation and progress on the rebuild of the Playstation Network that was taken offline just before the Easter Weekend.

As rumours have been stirring more on the internet it has become more clear on the speculation of a lone attacker who caused the services to be taken offline.  According to the anonymous website and a text to speech audio speaker they state that if someone from their group went off on their own accord to hack the PSN Service they are in no way involved with the intrusion and separate themselves for any actions involved.

This was the status blog update from the  Sr. Director, Corporate Communications & Social Media, Patrick Seybold

Thank you for your patience while we work to resolve the current outage of PlayStation Network & Qriocity services. We are currently working to send a similar message to the one below via email to all of our registered account holders regarding a compromise of personal information as a result of an illegal intrusion on our systems. These malicious actions have also had an impact on your ability to enjoy the services provided by PlayStation Network and Qriocity including online gaming and online access to music, movies, sports and TV shows. We have a clear path to have PlayStation Network and Qriocity systems back online, and expect to restore some services within a week.

We’re working day and night to ensure it is done as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience and feedback.

Valued PlayStation Network/Qriocity Customer:
We have discovered that between April 17 and April 19, 2011, certain PlayStation Network and Qriocity service user account information was compromised in connection with an illegal and unauthorized intrusion into our network. In response to this intrusion, we have:

  1. Temporarily turned off PlayStation Network and Qriocity services;
  2. Engaged an outside, recognized security firm to conduct a full and complete investigation into what happened; and
  3. Quickly taken steps to enhance security and strengthen our network infrastructure by re-building our system to provide you with greater protection of your personal information.

We greatly appreciate your patience, understanding and goodwill as we do whatever it takes to resolve these issues as quickly and efficiently as practicable.

Although we are still investigating the details of this incident, we believe that an unauthorized person has obtained the following information that you provided: name, address (city, state, zip), country, email address, birthdate, PlayStation Network/Qriocity password and login, and handle/PSN online ID. It is also possible that your profile data, including purchase history and billing address (city, state, zip), and your PlayStation Network/Qriocity password security answers may have been obtained. If you have authorized a sub-account for your dependent, the same data with respect to your dependent may have been obtained. While there is no evidence at this time that credit card data was taken, we cannot rule out the possibility. If you have provided your credit card data through PlayStation Network or Qriocity, out of an abundance of caution we are advising you that your credit card number (excluding security code) and expiration date may have been obtained.

For your security, we encourage you to be especially aware of email, telephone, and postal mail scams that ask for personal or sensitive information. Sony will not contact you in any way, including by email, asking for your credit card number, social security number or other personally identifiable information. If you are asked for this information, you can be confident Sony is not the entity asking. When the PlayStation Network and Qriocity services are fully restored, we strongly recommend that you log on and change your password. Sony Computer Entertainment and Sony Network Entertainment

However Sony are now being accused of an Operation Sony Smokescreen, blaming anonymous for the cause of the intrusion while anonymous state it’s a cover up to hide the fact that Sony had a fault of their own and to take a revengeful blame towards them. However Sony fan are thankful for the huge detail but as some worry over debit and credit card information at risk the PSN service is not expected to be on for at least another week.  However Sony have only stated in the Update that a ”Person” Is responsible for the intrusion.

Check back for more updates.

Anonymous: Message to PSN Users.

So it’s been 5 days since the Playstation Network has been down from an attack, though no Sony spokesman has come forward and stated who were the attacks, and the famous anonymous group have denied any allegations that it was them who attack the PSN service. From what information has been spread around on the internet and even the talk amongst friends and folk who own a PS3 that the damage the Playstation Network Service was so severe that they had to rebuild it from scratch, reports stating that Admin Development accounts have been hacked and to anyone who holds debit or credit card details on their PSN accounts which people use to purchase downloadable content and DLC as well as the newly introduced Playstation Plus subscription service may be at risk.

With over 70 Million Playstation 3 users worldwide and nearly every account possibly assigned with a debit or credit card is a risk to everyone single one with personal information like payment methods. Sony have stated that they are basically rebuilding the PSN store from scratch, servers have been totally messed up aswell. Playstation made a few updates on their blog which they posted through their Facebook Official page and Twitter saying about the tiring and constant work towards getting the PSN Service back online.

As the amount of Playstation users comment on these interactive pages increases the frequent updates from Sony, stating at the moment no time frame has been set to when it will be back on but constant effort and hard work to get it back on is going ahead as we speak.

As Sony have taken this specific chance to write and update some new security measures since the group anonymous took down the PSN service some time ago but reversed the attack. There will be no question that Sony will need to test this new feature they are putting in to protect from further intrusions.

It’s now a moment of time untill Sony state who the attackers were if they ever do and for the PSN store to be rebuilt and brought online.  But for now all that can be done is to sit tight, comment.

It just isn’t a good start to easter for Sony, today Sony has had its Playstation Network feature come to a complete stand still, nearly 70 million users worldwide are not able to log into their Playstation network ID’s after firstly receiving an error connection problem when trying to sign in. Almost immediately users took to the Facebook and twitter page on the problem and only the internet browser is currently the only working source of internet for the PS3.

Also various game sources on the internet spoke out from two circulating rumours which are to state of the problem, the first was the Hackers group Anonymous. A group which joined over the wikileaks related attacks, also over george hotz an american hacker who unlocked games consoles closed operating system feature that Sony decided to demolish in a future update some time ago. Sony originally filled a lawsuit against 21-year-old george hotz stating that his hacking had allowed pirated games to be played on the Playstation 3.

However early this month the case was dropped after George hotz had agreed to sign an injunction that banned him from any similar behaviour in the future.

Second rumour was about Portal 2 and steam currently having the servers uploaded to the Playstation network, apparently this caused an error which took the whole Playstation network offline.

However few hours later Sony changed the Error Message to ”Playstation Network is Currently under maintanance” However comments on their Facebook page and twitter show Users unhappy with Sony not letting  its Users know after nearly 20 hours of it being offline. Some have asked why does it take so long for them to act or let the people know of the problem. At least now you can stop pulling apart you’re modem or wireless thinking it’s you’re broadband now!

Unfortunately a spokesperson hasn’t stepped forward for comment just yet. But Sony thanked users for patience but with a predictable warning over how long the network would be down for which has last well over 20 hours so far could continue for another day or two. Not a great start for easter weekend!

Dead Space 2, the anticipated Sequel to the amazing Dead Space 1 back in October 2008. Released January 25th 2011 In the US and Worldwide on the 28th has made its golden recognition.
Yes, we are going to Review every bit of detail for you.

While we are here, we got our hands on Dead Space Severed the new DLC add-on which see’s you in the control of Gabe Weller, a character a few or more should be a familiar with from Dead Space: Extraction on the Wii back in 2009.

Don’t forget, we are now branching into full video game reviews soon this year, as well as the additional walk-through for Games.

Also it’s nearly time for that Classic’s under review section to come soon so watch this space to see what else next is going under the reviewing eyes.

Watch this space!

Some of you might remember back last year at E3 the rumours of the PSP2 being shown at the Sony Conference. Only Sony kept tight on information or any leaks from the internet or Technology journalists, now this february we finally officially have pictures, specs and video footage of the new PSP2 NGP (Next Generation Portable)  At the Tokyo Conference.
It is a fact to say this that we never thought so soon the day would come to see official pictures details and even footage of the PSP2. Also the biggest shock is that it is going to available in your hands this Holiday 2011. During the live conference they showed various working titles such as Killzone, Uncharted which really showed the high end graphic potential of PS3 graphic quality and many others. Also UMD has been completely ruled out now and Sony is now selling games on a  Flash Memory stick.
Also it’s pleasing to see the dual analogue sticks on the PSP2 and the smart motion sensing panel on the back of the PSP which when watching uncharted being played, lets you climb ropes and other various obstacles.  The PSP2 currently has a Quad – Core ARM Cortex – A9 Processor and a 5 Inch OLed touch screen.

It also boasts the 3G and Wi – Fi features aswell, meaning online gaming wherever you travel. Also the new Live Area suit with various features and social networking features.

Although there is still more time for Sony to make some final changes and adjustments to the PSP2 overall we are pretty excited on the release of this device and it’s power and packed new features it has to offer. For all of those who are just waiting to get hands on with the device will only have to wait till summer! However here is some video footage of the live conference showing what the PSP 2 NGP can do! Enjoy!

Set 3 years after the events happening on the Aegis VII and Ishimura. You take the control of a Mysterious Character called Vandal, sent on a secret mission deep inside the sprawls mining facilities. A voice encoder to disguise your voice no one will really know who you are, However you realise from the start that the protagonist you play is a newly devoted Unitologist set on a secret unitologist mission, of course it’s easy to see and presume that all could go wrong. With many twists throughout the game and a twist into the characters identity you can bet that this is an experience to never forget.

Dead Space Mobile, released on the 25th Of January 2011 on the same day of the US launch of Dead Space 2 game. Dead Space on mobile is available to download on the Apple application Store for just £3.99.

Having  just received the game today, we took a whole day to play through from the beginning till end. With the occasional breaks just to tease ourselves to come back for more.
So whats the game like? Is it just like the rest of the Dead Space franchise? Is it worth the time and money? We’d say absolutely, it is noticeable to see how heavily visual and graphical the game is for a Mobile Platform game, Sound is brilliant, the original soundtrack from Dead Space one fits well with the whole game and the usual necromorph monsters make their appearance again.

When we first downloaded Dead Space for the IPhone we were unsure how it was going to perform, what kind of story was going to be in it, and if we was ever going to find out who the main protagonist is who we play throughout the chapters of the game. You first start off with an introduction intro, showing the sprawl and a few voice overs chatting. We were deeply taken back out how Highly graphical and the use of visuals that were going on in the intro film. Seeing the Sprawl for the first time was mind-blowing, and this was on a Mobile device. Also we couldn’t help but realise the old Twinkle Twinkle little star song in the background.

You start off on a small tutorial excercise with a character called Tyler, that will chatter to you over the intercom about going to certain close by sections to sabotage power boxes with various tools that you’ll find. In both ways, it’s to help you get used to the controls on the IPhone and familiarize yourself with the tools available in the game. He will tell you that your codename is Vandal and that your identity must be kept secret, and that the voice encoder will hide your real voice, well it worked for us.

After about an hour or so. We fell in even further in the game. With our headphones on the shock factor was still there. Like in the Console and PC Dead Space 1 this will still make you jump, and even more with the lights off. We had many encounters with Necromorph babies, pregnant necromorphs. When being attacked by the necromorphs a sliding arrow with text will tell you that you can either stomp, slash, and cut the necromorphs if you should be in a situation without no ammo, or closed in against a wall.

The Health bar seems to restore its self, and the Kinesis Module will refill it’s self after a few seconds of one use. These slight changes make it more easier and bearable to play in awkward situations, specially as it’s a touch phone there might have been a problem loading up a menu to top your health bar and kinesis bar at the same time.

When coming to controlling the character and using the all the features in the game, we got used to how it works fairly quickly. At the start of the game it shows you how to walk and turn, and turn back and forwards. Left hand to walk forwards or run and back, the right hand to turn the character.

When coming to firing a weapon was somewhat easy, but tapping near in the middle while aiming your laser sights at a necromorph was fairly easy occasionally, depending on what weapon you use, but it was fairly easy with the bigger weapons from time to time. This impressed us and put aside the worries of the frustration we thought we would have trying to aim and kill off the foes. When switching to the Secondary fire mode on some of the weapons easy enough. By sharply tilting your Phone to the left side will switch your weapon to its alternative firing mode.

However it’s easy to forget to keep the phone completely still when shooting at a Necromorph, as we discovered when we was in a lock down in one room full of necromorphs, in frustration to kill them the phone was tilting both ways at the fast tapping we was doing to shoot at them. You’ll realise this when you notice your weapon firing out something more powerful or longer to reload from.

We were taken away by the layout and textures of the games area, you’re not just confined to one small hallways or space, you also venture down to the Mines and various other areas of the sprawl. With also the occasional hallucinations which impressed us by far the most and even shocked us, especially when you’re in a room and a character of your resemblance mirroring every step and movement you make starts walking towards you when you do.

You also hallucinate in what seems to be a sand desert place, with a door and foot blood steps walking towards with a desk with a hologram saying activate, and not to forget the Marker in the background in front of you.

The voice acting throughout the game is as brilliant as one fan would expect from playing the rest of the franchise, the story line develops more and more in each chapter. But we don’t want to spoil any details of what it’s completely all about.

In the game you use some familiar guns that you would have used throughout Dead Space 1. With the exception of maybe a couple that are newly introduced. Plasma Cutter, and Line gun. You’ll find that you may use the line gun more for this Game platform then maybe then the others.

Also the weapon upgrading system makes a large appearance in the game. With different areas with a Power node box on the walls, you’ll find upgrading your weapons will improve your chances of a smoother kill instantly , that’s depending how many power nodes you have or used on the specific weapon.

Also the Store makes a comeback throughout the game, being able to purchase those much-needed ammo needs and various other bits you need. You can also purchase extra DLC if you find that you have run out of in-game credits, or cheat yourself throughout the game, you also have the choice to upgrade your rig suit, with slightly better protection just like in Dead Space 1.

Overall, the game is breathtakingly beautiful as we expected, the controls and gameplay are just what Visceral Games are best at, but seeing this through a mobile platform will impress you even more. We’d also like to clear up the major doubts about what some fellow

fans have been saying about the Specification needed to run this game.

We tested this game on a IPhone 3G 16GB, with the small occasional lag and restarts, it still worked and looked as perfect as it was made. The developers from Iron Monkey Studios based out in Australia have made a outstanding job on squeezing such a heavily visualised and graphically story gripping game into a Downloadable and playable App for the IPhone. The game was designed to optimize to the settings of any IPod touch, IPhone generation to play on. However we would say, if you have a 3GS or IPhone 4 you’d not suffer from lag or freezing from time to time. But what do you expect from such a fulfilled game such as this.

Overall we rate this game 9/10, Brilliant sound, Excellent Storyline, The Visuals and Storyline are off the limits, and the gameplay is truly remarkable. If you fee this wasn’t enough of a review, we’re sorry but we don’t want to spoil inside game plot details, but we have some special footage of at least 5 minutes of gameplay to show you. Enjoy!

Dead Space CodeName: Vandal (Still Yet to be confirmed) With his engineering suit that resembles Isaac’s Suit from the First Dead Space now is in the hot boots blasting the plasma cutter.  With the Release date confirmed to be January 25th the same date as the US Release of Dead Space 2 there is even more information to be said here about this game.

First of all, a lot of people were wondering that due to the information released and hands on with the IOS Game that it will only be able to run on the IPhone 4 and IPad. We can confirm that it will run on all Apple devices of any generation, thanks to EA clarifying that and the trick of it being able to adapt graphically to any IPhone Generation or IPod Touch.

From what we know the time setting is based just after the events of the USG Ishimura and before the events of Dead Space 2 take it’s main due course. Yes the protagonist you play is called Vandal, however a full Biography and how the player became entangled with the first stages of the outbreak is yet still unknown till the release of the Game App.

We can also share that there will be 5 hours of gameplay, which will consist of 6 levels. There is a lot in store for Vandal, maybe he’ll see how Isaac felt on the Ishimura. Whether the two Characters will somehow meet later on in the game or Dead Space 2 is completely unknown.

For those who are eager to get hands on with the game application, will be available on the ITunes Store on January 25th

Here is a teasing taster of some of the gameplay and it’s features being played on the Iphone. Enjoy it guys!!!

Just 13 Days until the Release of Dead Space 2 and 16 Days till it’s released in Europe, Dead Space (Visceral Games) have released a new teaser trailer showing some unseen footage of gameplay and interactions of new characters and Isaac communicating and struggling against his foes.
